Why is natural gas a non renewable energy?

Natural gas is not renewable because the earth has to compress dead sea animals to make gas and oil and that takes hundreds of billions years.

Why do you transport natural gas as a liquid and not as a gas?

If you compress natural gas to it's liquid form, the VOLUME is reduced SIGNIFICANTLY.....this allows for less expensive moving and storage. It is simply a matter of economics.

Fridge compressor to compress natural gas into a bottle?

What are you trying to do? Sounds dangerous, I don't advise doing this.

How is natural gas collected?

Natural gas is too hard to Compress, so, it is collected straight from the ground and pumped to homes. When a Gas field is found they just use a pipe like they do oil to tap into the Gas pocket. Butane is a gas that can be compressed it liquefies under pressure, that why a Lighter looks like it has Liquid in it, you CAN NOT do this with natural gas. This a easy way to explain it

Can you compress gas?

yes you can.

It is nearly impossible to solids and liquids?

Compress. They tend to occupy a nearly fixed volume.

Which is the hardest to compress?

(see question Which is harder to compress solid liquid or gas)

Can you compress a gas because its particles are close together?

No. You can compress a gas because the particles are NOT close together. If they are close together (as in a solid) it is extremely difficult to compress any further.

Does gas compress easily?

Yes it does. Of the 3 common states of matter, the gas phase is the easiest to compress. This is because gas molecules are traveling very quickly and there is a lot of space between atoms, allowing room to compress.

What can you do to a gas but not to a solid or liquid?

compress it

How can you change gas to liquid?

-- Cool it. -- Compress it (but you must also cool it while you compress it).

What is harder to compress gas liquid or solid?

The molecules of a solid are the most tightly packed than those of either gas or liquid making it the hardest of the three to compress. Gas has the most space between molecules and is therefore the easiest to compress.
