In the single player campaign the player cannot use a gas mask. It is completely useless what so ever. It is only cosmetic at the least.

In multi player, the player can be seen wearing a gas mask from a third-person perspective if they have a certain primary weapon equipped, such as an MP5 sub-machine gun or a W1200 shotgun.

The player on the SAS team will be wearing a dark gas mask and helmet on their head, whilst on the Spetsnaz team the player can be seen wearing only a gas mask on their head. It is most likely the Russian made GP-5 gas mask.

This is definitively the best shooting game I have ever played, mw2 is too technical, while black ops and mw3 attract the wrong audiences into the game (lil kids) cod4 is an original and has amazing graphics and gameplay. I recommend getting cod4 on pc for the best shooting experience :)

What you really like is that you have been playing the game for years and that makes you better at it. No the game is far from the best ever and it is old so you have a very different batch of online players. Then I hear you talk about playing on a PC

The PS3 console has more capability than the PS2 and the game would be better with better graphics and able to run the game program. It is much like why some computers no longer have the ability to play call of duty series games with the release of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare because it takes a more advanced computer to play the game than it did for Call off Duty 3. The PS2 had to have Call of Duty World at War Final Fronts designed specifically for them with reduced capabilities because it could not play the World at War.

The Modern Warfare Reflex Edition was designed by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward to allow Nintendo Wii reduced capability gaming console to have a version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. your not right about the ratings at all. Reflex for the Wii is rated M and the one for the DS is rated T, because of the fact that little kids will pick it up and there parents don't want there kids to play rated M games.

Well a mass of people went and bought it when it first came out, the first from the tally at my school showed that 15+ out of 300 people bought it, as with population, the amount of gamers goes up each day. I believe its up around 300,000-70,000 because the British, Canadian, American, and other people are seeing it out in the game stores. But its only been 2 days since its release in North America.
